Fall is the perfect time for everything pumpkin - pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheese cake, pumpkin spice lattes! But these foods, although delicious, are loaded with sugar. For example a Grande Pumpkin Spice Latte has 50 grams of sugar. (Source) That's more sugar than a can of pop!
The American Heart Association recommends no more than 24 grams of added sugar a day for the average female. The solution? A low sugar, protein-packed pumpkin smoothie!
